JOHOR BAHRU – Lebuh Raya Utara- Selatan berhampiran Tol Skudai di
sini kecoh awal pagi semalam apabila polis melancarkan operasi
membanteras kegiatan lumba kereta haram.
Sebanyak 83 buah kereta yang sedang ligat menunjukkan aksi drift
berjaya ditahan dalam operasi yang dijalankan Unit Khas Trafik Bukit
Aman serta Cawangan Trafik, Jenayah Komersial dan Narkotik Ibu Pejabat
Polis Kontinjen (IPK) Johor dengan dibantu Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan
(JPJ) negeri.
Ketua Operasi, Asisten Suprintendan Khuzir Abd. Majit berkata,
pihaknya menjalankan pemantauan selama dua minggu sebelum melakukan
operasi mencegah lumba haram berkenaan.
Jelasnya, ketika operasi dijalankan, beberapa pemandu cuba melarikan diri.
“Namun, mereka gagal kerana kami terlebih dahulu menutup beberapa susur keluar lain di plaza tol berkenaan.
“Berdasarkan maklumat yang kami peroleh, aktiviti perlumbaan haram
sering diadakan pada hujung minggu di laluan lurus bermula selepas plaza
tol berkenaan hingga ke susur keluar Skudai yang jaraknya kira-kira
satu kilometer,” katanya selepas operasi tersebut di sini.

BEIJING – Seekor anak kura-kura dilahirkan dengan mempunyai dua kepala di sebuah taman hidupan liar di Hefeia, selatan China.
“Kedua-dua kepala kura-kura itu berfungsi dengan sepenuhnya dan ia
makan berasingan dan kelihatan amat gembira,” kata seorang penjaga di
Taman Hidupan Liar Xiaoyaojin, Hefeia.
Menurut para penjaga haiwan itu, satu sahaja masalah yang dihadapi
oleh kura-kura tersebut apabila ia dilihat tidak sehaluan semasa mahu
